We’ve got 4 wormeries at the farm and our wiggly friends have been working their socks off this year to produce worm compost and liquid fertiliser to supplement our normal compost and feeds. The compost they produce is used as a soil conditioner, and the liquid is drained, diluted with water and used as a liquid fertiliser. It’s an efficient way of turning kitchen waste and small amounts of garden waste into nutrient-rich compost and helps us grow healthy plants and vegetables.
